FACILITIES MANAGEMENT

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council was created back in 1974, to administer the newly formed Metropolitan Borough of Sandwell, in the West Midlands. Managing a portfolio of 100 properties across the West Midlands, I was responsible for the smooth transition during staff relocations, conscious of budgets I successfully managed all lease negotiations and hard/soft services across these sites.

OUTCOMES

Management of hard and soft services across a portfolio of 100 government buildings and 2 million sq ft Including Grade 2 listed properties.​

​

Project managing building works, dealing with lease negotiations, space planning, tendering and fit out.

​​

Managing all contractor/client liaison and budget management. 

​​

Preparing business plans for new development and tendering for works.

​​

Responsible for the staff relocations and facilities across the portfolio, to prepare project plans and mobilise contracts, this also included the production of CAD drawings. 

​​

To assist FM department in achieving compliance throughout estate.
